How To Update Avira Antivirus via Offline Mode by misterbanoy

Avira Antivirus provides personal edition which has no cost for non-comercial use. Usually updating antivirus database needs online connection, but Avira makes you possible to update using offline Virus Definition Update.

1. Download Avira Incremental Antivirus Update from http://www.avira.com/en/support/vdf_update.html or you can pick it directly Download IVDF (unicode).
2. Open your avira antivirus.
3. Select Update -> Manual Update
4. Browse to Virus Definition file you have to download on your local computer.
5. Finish.

Your Avira now has latest updated. This is very usefull if you don’t have internet connection all the time or want to stay update many computer without wasting bandwidth.
