More spam

I now have 56 spamments waiting for moderation.
G-Blogs’ comment facility really needs to be changed to incorporate a captcha. Although mistermobile’s suggestions and quick instructions on how to manage comments was helpful, managing spam by comment moderation and automatic deletion of comments based on keywords is not effective. Unlike spamments of old, these new ones have comments like “We really liked your site” or “Hello, I’m a regular visitor to your site so i finally decided its time to sign your guestbook, so here i sign” and meaningless email addresses. So how can you determine which keywords to use?
So, please, implement a captcha.
The Links widget
Just tried out the links feature and widget. Seems like the widget displays the links alphabetically, based on the link name. Now that sucks. People should have the option to arrange the links the way they want it.
The dashboard is so slow
If acceptable response speeds would be comparable to a Toyata Vios, and fantastic would be comparable to a Mitsubishi Evo 9, then the G-blogs dashboard would probably be like that three-wheeled car that always tips over in the Mr. Bean show.
P.S. Sorry, exag lang yan. But it really needs to improve.
When I save, I want to exit
When I edit an existing post and click on save, the dashboard doesn’t go back to the posts listing page. This is quite irritating, especially if all you’re doing is editing the tags or categories.
Maybe a solution here would be to give the blogger the capability to edit tags and categories on the posts listing page.
Number of entries in the dashboard
It would be good if the blogger can control the number of entries that he can view while managing his posts in the dashboard. Right now, I can only see 15 entries. For those who blog a lot, this can be quite limiting.
Trying out the Insert More tag
I’ve never tried this feature on any blogging platform. Masubukan nga!
Once upon a time, there were three little pigs who lived in a small house upon the hill just outside the Enchanted Forest.
I love Spam
Especially the hot and spicy flavor. Goes great with patis and sili and sinangag. Mmmm…ginutom tuloy ako.
It’s spam on the ‘net that I don’t like. In the one day that this blog has been online, I have already had 8 spamments (spam comments), all shouts of kudos and appreciation for the wonderful information I have in this blog (ha!), and even a couple in german. I think it’s mostly from one “group”, ‘cos the addresses are all about dieting or diet pills or phentermine (which is an appetite suppresant, according to Wikipedia).
Although I appreciate the moderation feature, which allows you to screen all the comments, it’s just such a hassle to have to do it, especially if you’ve been bombarded with tons of spamments. A captcha will definitely have to be implemented.
Anyways, here’s a screen cap of the comments. Click on it to enlarge.
Three columns
Is there an option to move the columns about? For example, I want the first sidebar on the extreme left and the second on the extreme right, with the column containing all my blog entries in the middle. Another option is to remove one sidebar altogether.
Maybe the use of templates? This would give the blogger control over the layout of his or her blog (even though it’s actually just an illusion).
The Calendar isn’t centered
And the days aren’t aligned with the dates.
The OC in me is reacting. Hehehe.
Update 10/03:
Seems like this problem is intermittent. Here’s a screen cap of what I was talking about:
Recent Comments widget
Is it possible to get a summary, let’s say the first 30 characters, of the comment? Having a notification that someone has recently commented on a particular post won’t entice readers of the blog to click on the link.
